About this site

This site is a resource for information for those going home after brain surgery, brain trauma or injury or stroke.

Hi there!

I want to give you a short introduction to what this page is all about and why I am doing this. My name is Jade Chavis and my best friend recently passed away from an oligodendroglioma brain tumor. Throughout her journey, there were so many questions that remained unanswered.

My desire is to help the patient, the family members , friends and care-givers to have the information and tools they need to make a smooth transition into life after brain surgery, trauma or stroke. This site is to make information available to you, doctor’s offices, hospitals, care-giving facilities and businesses as well as the friends and family of the loved one who has suffered from a brain injury.

As time goes on, I will add information, tips, tricks, websites, best practices, and apps for your IPad, tablet, or phone etc. From calendars to help you remember appointments to brain training to help you regain cognitive abilities and apps to help you communicate with people around you.

I welcome any information and experiences you’ve had, any local tips and tricks from good pharmacies or care-givers, places to visit or support groups, ministries and places of worship that are friendly or are easily accessible for people with mobility issues or other disabilities.

Please come back often and add to the page. I look forward to meeting many of you and creating a wonderful resource together!

It is a work in progress and new information will be added weekly.

We hope to add new pages like “Featured Fighters” and “Best Businesses.” Check back often and send us your suggestions!
